Generous Water Rebates & Solar Rebates to help you

The Australian Federal Government and most State and Territories have introduced new legislation for water rebates and energy rebates to encourage usage of climate change smart products. This means cash rebates for many green products that you can purchase and have installed through any Green Build Outlet. You can sometimes even qualify for both federal and state water rebates which makes our products especially attractive.

Rainwater Tank Rebates to help you

Federal rebates up to $1500 may apply. NSW state government also have rebates available, see below. These water rebates are based on the size of the tank and whether the rainwater is plumbed into your toilet or washing machine

Solar Hot Water Rebates

The Australian Government will provide solar hot water rebates of $1,000 to install solar and heat pump hot water systems in eligible homes. An average household will save on average $300 in annual electricity costs.   

Photovoltaic System Rebates

If you install photovoltaic cells which create at least 450 watts of electricity you may qualify for up to $8,000 in Solar Rebates. Schools and community buildings have access to 50% of the solar system cost (max. $12,000 rebate). 

Green Vouchers For Schools

Up to $50,000 will be provided by the Australian Federal Government to every school for installation of solar hot water and rainwater tanks to improve energy and water efficiency. All schools will be sent a voucher they can use to access the programme.

What are Renewable Energy Certificates (RECS)

When you install solar hot water or photovoltaic cells you qualify for "Renewable Energy Certificates", RECS. As these certificates have a value you can keep or sell them. Market conditions dictate the price but currently they are being purchased for about $30. The number of RECS you qualify for depends on where you live and the kW power output of your system.
